Go to School Meals > Pwa to configure the website as an installable Progressive Web App.
Enable Web App to activate the PWA features.
Available settings include:
- Show Install Option
- App Name
- Short Name
- Description
- Theme Color
- Background Color
- Start URL
- App Icon
- Display mode
The Start URL determines which page opens when the customer launches the installed app.
Use a path such as /, /my-account/, or another page on the same website.
Upload a square image for the app icon. When the settings are saved, the plugin creates 192 x 192 and 512 x 512 PNG versions automatically.

Enable Show Install Option if you want the plugin to display an installation message automatically on supported phones and tablets.
The browser controls whether an automatic installation prompt is available. Therefore, the appearance and wording can vary between browsers.
For a manual installation page, add this shortcode to a WordPress page:
Place that page in the website menu so customers can choose when to install the app.
On supported Android browsers, customers can use the installation prompt or browser menu.
On iPhone and iPad, customers normally open the website in Safari, select Share, and choose Add to Home Screen.
A live PWA should use HTTPS. After saving the settings, test the installation process on the mobile browsers used by your customers.
