Guardrails around consequential changes
The portal protects AJAX requests with a nonce and capability check. Management actions validate inputs, and guarded deletion prevents unsafe removal of schools that still have students or active orders.

The portal includes sections for Automation, Reports & Labels, SMS, and PDF Files. Their controls and data become useful when the corresponding School add-ons are installed and active.
Product editor extensions: optional School add-ons can inject their own product fields. School Allergies supplies allergen and nutrition controls when installed.
Built as the frontend control layer for the School Meals ecosystem.
Requires WordPress 6.4+, PHP 7.4+, WooCommerce 8.6+, School Meals Pro by Delyriaz, and School Wallet by Delyriaz. Valid parent and portal add-on licenses are required to start portal features.
Can portal users enter wp-admin?
Authorized non-administrators who only use the portal are redirected away from wp-admin. Their WordPress admin toolbar is also hidden. Administrators keep normal access.
Can staff create complete WooCommerce meal products?
Yes. The frontend editor supports simple and variable products, regular and sale prices, descriptions, images, stock controls, categories, restaurant assignments, deductions, status, duplication, and trashing.
What happens when a meal is cancelled?
The item is marked as cancelled and an eligible credit is added to the registered parent wallet. If every meal item is cancelled, the order can be moved to cancelled status.
Can I place the portal on a different page?
Yes. Activation creates a portal page, and you can also use the School Meals Portal block or the [school_meals_portal] shortcode on another page.
