The plugin calculates analytics from the values preserved on School Meals WooCommerce line items, so discounts, deductions, cancellations, and wallet credits remain connected to their operational context.
Gross salesThe line total after discounts and before tax for active meal items in the selected order statuses.
Restaurant payoutAn estimated amount: line total minus the stored per-item restaurant deduction multiplied by quantity, never below zero.
Cancellation creditThe Wallet credit amount saved on a cancelled meal item, reported alongside cancelled quantity and order details.
Wallet liabilityAll-time credits minus debits in the Wallet transaction ledger, representing current unused credit and never displayed below zero.

School Analytics keeps a denormalized database row for every detected School Meals line item. New orders, status changes, order updates, and meal-item cancellations synchronize the related rows automatically.

Historical order rebuild
Bring existing School Meals orders into the dashboard in batches
After installing on an established site, run Rebuild Analytics Index once. The progress interface checks orders in small batches, updates matching meal items, and removes obsolete index rows only after the complete pass finishes.
Default active statuses: Processing and Completed. Administrators may select any WooCommerce statuses that should count in active analytics, while individual reports can filter to one exact status.
Take filtered analytics into Excel or Google Sheets.
Every export keeps the active date, school, restaurant, and order-status filters. CSV files include a UTF-8 marker for cleaner spreadsheet compatibility.

Are the sample dashboard numbers shown on this page real?
No. The visual dashboard above is an interface example. Your WordPress dashboard calculates its values from indexed School Meals order items and the filters you select.
Are reports based on order date or delivery date?
Meal, school, restaurant, cancellation, and overview date filters use the meal delivery date saved on each order item. Wallet analytics uses the Wallet transaction creation date.
Why is the restaurant payout described as estimated?
It is calculated from the line total and the restaurant deduction metadata stored on the order item. It is an operational estimate, not proof that an external payment was sent or received.
Does it count cancelled meals in active meal totals?
No. Active dashboards filter out line items marked cancelled. The cancellation area separately includes cancelled items and orders with cancelled or failed status.
Does it work with existing orders?
Yes. Run the batched Analytics Index rebuild from Settings after installation. New and changed orders then synchronize automatically.
What happens without School Wallet?
Core meal, school, restaurant, sales, payout, and cancellation-item analytics remain available. Wallet totals return zero when the School Wallet transaction table does not exist.
Who can view or export analytics?
The analytics pages, index rebuild, settings, and nonce-protected CSV exports require WooCommerce management permission.
